Frequently Asked Questions

Below are a list of frequently asked questions by our parents. If you have one you would like to add, please contact us.

Do I need to book in for Vacation Care?

All families will need to book in during the Vacation Care period. This will be done using the ‘My Family Lounge’ portal. The After School Care and Before School Care bookings are suspended during this period and you are not charged for these. Your bookings will resume after the VC Period. If your child is attending on an excursion day then you will need to fill out an Excursion Permission Form and return it to us before the excursion day.

What happens if my child is sick or on holidays?

If your child is going to be absent due to illness, holidays or any other reason you need to notify us for After School Care (ASC) and Vacation Care (VC). If you are going on holidays and we have at least 48 hours notice and you will not be charged. For permanent bookings we will still hold these for you, just let us know the dates you are away.

What are the late fees?

We understand there are occasions when parents are running late after 6pm, and we ask you to contact us to let the Educators know and to reassure your children that you are on the way.

Though we generally don’t apply the late fee for a few minutes after 6pm, a fee of $15.00 does apply for every 15 minutes after 6pm. tis is to cover the cost of the Educators required to stay back and care for the children, this fee is applied to your account and will reflect on your statement.

When are the Vacation Care programs and bookings available?

The Program for each Vacation Care period will be available 2 – 3 weeks before each holiday period. At Jindalee we follow the Education Queensland Holiday period. Parents are encouraged to book in early, as some days, especially excursion days can book out quickly. 

Who can collect my child?

Only persons you have listed and give us written permission can collect your child. These persons will be required to be registered with us so they can use the sign in/out Kiosk on the Ipads.

To add an additional person please email us with their details. In cases of an emergency pickup where a person not on your list is required to pick up your children, please contact us in advance as we will need to verify their identity and your permission.
