Hi, I’m Nalini and I have enjoyed working at the service for 10 years. It’s a wonderful feeling watching the children’s achievements and making them feel welcome. For many of the kids OHSC is home away from home, so it’s nice to be able to give them a nurturing environment.
I also work as a prep teacher aide in the school , which I have been doing for almost 10years. This enables me to help children transition from school to ASC & vice versa. I lived in Japan for 6 years teaching English at NHK cultural centre as well as running my own English school. It was a wonderful experience living abroad learning about another culture and a great opportunity to expand my knowledge about cultural diversity. I my free time I love to cook and entertain friends. I enjoy cooking spicy food especially Indian curries as my cultural background is Indian.
I also love to travel, go bushwalking & spend time with my family. I have a Diploma of TESOL and currently studying cert IV/ Diploma of Education Support.
