Hi Families,
My name is Kaela and I am the Coordinator here at JSACP.
I started as an Educator in 2009 whilst studying Primary Education at QUT. As often happens in this sector, I fell in love with OSHC and realised I wanted it to be my career. After finishing my degree and gaining leadership experience at both a small and a large service, I made the move to Jindalee as Assistant Coordinator in 2021.
I grew up in
The Gap and used to live at the bottom of Mt Coot-tha. On the weekends, you might find me at the beach, reading a book, seeing a movie, singing in my local choir, or spending time with my two rescue cats.
My favourite parts of this job are the hilarious and very honest chats with the children, and the community connections that JSACP is involved with throughout the year.
I am passionate about creating a service that is a ‘home away from home’ for children. My goal is for all children to feel safe here, have fun, and learn something new along the way. I love seeing children deeply engaged in an activity, finding them a resource that helps them extend their play, or seeing them excitedly sharing about a creation or an achievement.
It’s a privilege to be part of such a talented, passionate and professional team, and we hope you and your children feel welcomed and that you belong here at JSACP every day.
